ABOUT
TREEFORT SUBMISSION .jpg

Born on a January evening in a small town within the East Bay area of California, Lindzey Autumn started her musical journey at a young age. With an affinity for storytelling, Lindzey crafts songs that reflect life’s quiet moments, deep emotions, and the human experience with a delicate and thoughtful touch. Her music draws listeners into a world where nostalgia and introspection intertwine.

After moving to Boise Idaho, she found an intense passion for live performance. Rooted in the rich tapestry of country and folk, Lindzey’s sound is defined by her soulful yet gentle vocal delivery, which is heavily inspired by two iconic vocalists: Alison Krauss and Amy Lee. Using the crystalline purity in her voice, Lindzey conveys warmth and sincerity with every note. Her ability to tap into raw emotion adds an ethereal and haunting quality to her performances, creating a dynamic fusion of grace and power.

As a songwriter, Lindzey Autumn’s lyrics are deeply personal yet universally relatable, touching on themes of love, heartache, resilience, and the beauty found in everyday life. Her musical arrangements, often stripped down to acoustic guitars, subtle harmonies, and gentle instrumentation, allow her voice and message to take center stage, creating an intimate and immersive experience for her audience.

Rest of My Life

While traveling through Portland Oregon during October 2019, Lindzey penned "Rest of My Life". The song captures the tender emotions of a blossoming relationship with who would later become her husband. Inspired by the city’s autumn colors and the thrill of falling in love, 'Rest of My Life' is a heartfelt ode to discovering someone who feels like the one.

Weightless

Written in 2022 after the death of a close family member and a messy failed engagement, “Weightless” expresses feelings of disconnection that come with disassociation after a painful event.  The chorus reveals a poignant conflict: a deep, burning love that is felt intensely, yet remains unfulfilled due to Lindzey's awareness of her own internal instability and shifting emotions. There’s a strong feeling of being out of reach, both physically and emotionally, which contrasts sharply with the depth of affection expressed. In a state of constant flux, unable to fully commit or stay grounded, but still deeply regretful for the distance that creates.

Hurt Me

This moody piano ballad captures the internal struggle between pain and passion, as the protagonist is drawn to someone who continually hurts them, yet they find themselves unable to break away. "Hurt Me" reflects on the twisted push and pull of desire and heartache in a one sided relationship. The minimalist instrumentation allows the intensity of her emotions to shine through, creating a powerful, intimate listening experience.

Wild Soul

Deeply inspired by Fleetwood Mac's iconic track "Rhiannon", Lindzey channels her own take on the hit classic with "Wild Soul". The song touches on themes of freedom, mysticism, and an untamable spirit. Lindzey's signature vocal style combined with a country rock edge reminiscent of the 70s, brings a fresh yet nostalgic feel to the song, paying homage to Fleetwood Mac's influence while carving out her own path.

BAD INFLUENCE COVER.jpg

Bad Influence

This playful country tune explores the thrill of being drawn to someone who’s clearly trouble. With vivid imagery of a rebellious "bad boy" with tattoos, whiskey, and a carefree attitude, "Bad Influence" captures the excitement and chaos of falling for someone who leads you down the wrong path. Despite knowing he's no good, Lindzey embraces the adventure, singing about reckless fun and ignoring the consequences. The catchy melody bring the lyrics to life, making "Bad Influence" a fun and relatable anthem for those tempted by a bit of danger.
